Pre-Kindergarten - Instructor / Visiting Assistant Professor ...

Teacher Education (Middletown Campus): Instructor/Visiting Assistant Professor to teach courses in the Pre-Kindergarten licensure program; participate in the development and continuation of field-based program experiences; advise students; provide service to the campus, department, community and profession; coordinate the Pre-Kindergarten associate degree program across both regional campuses, including maintaining records for the program, overseeing accreditation and preparing reports, maintaining professional contracts with regional Head Start and preschool programs, recruiting students for the program, maintaining communication with the Teacher Education and Family and Social Work Departments.

Require: Master's (for rank of Instructor) or doctorate (for Visiting Assistant Professor) with emphasis in early childhood education, child development, or an equivalent field; professional experience in Head Start or other licensed child-care provider environment.

Desire: Background and experience in teaching pre-kindergarten courses and inclusionary classroom experience; supervisory experience; experience with NAEYC and NCATE accreditation.
