WASHINGTON ? In his State of the Union Address on Tuesday night, President Barack Obama spoke about the economy, gun control, global warming and returning our troops home from Afghanistan.
The president said after a decade of war, about 34,000 brave men and women serving the nation will return in 2014.
He also said that the ?rubble of crisis'' has been cleared away from the economy and he'll work to revive a ?rising, thriving middle class,? and there is already progress to report.
"After years of grueling recession, our businesses have created over 6 million new jobs, we buy more American cars than we have in five years and use less foreign oil than we have in 20," Obama said.
Obama said business have created 6 million jobs, the housing industry was healing and the stock market is rebounding. But in order to grow the economy, he said we need to make cuts, add revenue and get rid of tax loopholes and deductions for the wealthy.
